Welcome to Annex

The Annex is bound by The Canadian National Railway tracks just North of Dupont to the North, Bloor St to the South, Christie St to the West and Avenue Rd to the East. This community is more traditionally cut off at Bathurst but the City of Toronto has decided to include Seaton Village which is why it extends as far west as Christie.

The Annex, a truly magnificent representation of Toronto. As you stand at the East border just looking West from Avenue Rd, you see nothing but high end luxury. Expensive shops, exclusive restaurants and young fans waiting outside of the Four Seasons Hotel or Park Hyatt to catch a glimpse of their favorite move star. A stroll through Yorkville will often yield a brush with celebrity. Stop in at the local sushi restaurant and let a piece of the freshest tuna melt in your mouth or enjoy a $35 Martini at the Four Seasons Bar. Now head a little further West along Bloor St and you start to come down to reality, you're now in the Heart of the University of Toronto Campus. The old Edwardian and Victorian homes and mansions are now filled with frat houses, apartments or offices. The moment one of these gems hits the market, it is scooped up and converted back to a single family home. These prices are not for the faint of heart, a small Victorian semi fixer-upper will cost you more than a Million dollars here. That's the price you pay to be steps away from the finest Toronto has to offer.

Now head a bit further west and we've arrived at Bathurst. Home of Honest Eds, Toronto's first and finest discount department store. The Mirvish family has truly put their stamp on Toronto. This area is home to many students and singe families who were lucky enough to be able to afford a home in this great area. A single family home that needs a bit of work will still cost you a pretty penny here, usually over $500K. This is true right as you head to the Western border of The Annex towards Christie St also know as Koreatown, amazing Korean restaurants, shops and karaoke bars!

The Annex is however, not immune to Toronto's condo explosion. The recent One Bedford development just East of St. George is a huge hit with investors and end users. Its development filled a huge void in luxury rentals for well to do students and local professionals. The most recent record breaking sale of the Four Seasons Penthouse for over $28 Million dollars proved that condos are in fact needed and in serious demand.
