Welcome to Palmerston-Little Italy

Palmerston - Little Italy is bounded by Bloor to the North, College to the South, Dovercourt to the West and Bathurst to the East. Formerly dominated by Portuguese and Italian Immigrants this ever-changing downtown Toronto hotspot is now the stomping ground for a much more diverse group. Home to some of the coolest bars, lounges, clubs and restaurants Little Italy has something for everyone.

Looking for a deal on Real Estate? Well, you probably shouldn't be looking here. Most homes hit the market and are flooded with multiple offers in just days. Take a drive down Palmerston and you'll feel like your in a different world. Massive Victorian homes hide behind 100yr old oaks and if you're lucky, you'll find one that hasn't been converted to 12 studio apartments. Unfortunately most of these homes have lost their original charm but some die hard history buffs have spent mucho $$$ restoring these beauties.

The demand here is mainly due to the neighbourhoods close proximity to the Bloor Subway line and the abundance of green space. Within walking distance to Trinity Bellwoods Park (a 37 acre urban oasis!), Christie Pitts, Bickford Park, Heally Willan Park, and Dufferin Grove; this is area is not only popular with young professionals but also ideal for growing families.

Due to height restrictions in most of these historic communities high density condominium developments to not go up here. Spring Realty is a huge supporter of low density, high quality development. This is what we are seeing here. With fabulous, forward thinking developments like CUBE this area is sure to be a hit for a very long time. If you want dense, cookie-cutter condos, head south, but local City Councillors and vocal rate payers associations will make sure that this area retains as much character and charm as possible without standing in the way of progress of course.
